Parents' Day

Parents' Day in the United States was officially established in 1994, when President Bill Clinton signed a law proposed by Congressman James Saudar. The holiday was conceived as an addition to Mother's Day and Father's Day to highlight the importance of both parents in a child's life. It is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of July.
In India, Parents' Day is more personal. Typically, families gather together to celebrate the holiday, expressing gratitude to the older generation. Some schools hold events dedicated to honoring parents.
In the Congo, this day is celebrated as a way to highlight the role of parents in preserving cultural traditions and strengthening the family. Families gather together to spend time paying respect to their elders.
